On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the outbreak of Covid-19 as a global epidemic because the new virus is present in almost every country in the world. Covid-19 first appeared in Wuhan, China in December 2019 and quickly spread to other parts of the world.
Covid-19 is a new disease caused by a virus called coronavirus, which has infected more than 150,000 people worldwide.
“We have never seen a pandemic caused by a virus. This is the first pandemic caused by a virus, and we have never had a pandemic before,” said Dr. Tedros Adhanom Gbrebreesus, WHO Director-General. It is possible to control it simultaneously.”
Starting in Italy, Covid-19 gradually affected European countries, including the United Kingdom. Countries are working to control and control the virus, such as canceling flights from affected countries, banning large gatherings, and advising their citizens to stay home.
As ordinary people, we do not know what is right or wrong, and we are constantly bombarded with online and offline news about Covid-19. While some people try, some don’t seem to care. These days, while ensuring the safety of oneself and others, peace is very important. Fisting or seizing toilet rolls is no worse. Pay attention to what officials say instead of relying on some random online resources.
Covid-19 is not our first epidemic. And there have been more serious cases in the past. Eleven years ago, during the outbreak of swine flu (H1N1), WHO last announced that the disease was epidemic. The swine flu, which has been in the “post-epidemic period” since 2010, affected 1.4 billion people worldwide in 2009 when the global epidemic was announced. There is also a widespread prevalence that we have to deal with, such as Ebola, SARS and the Spanish flu.
Read the WHO Director’s statement above:
“We have never seen an epidemic of the virus. This is the first epidemic of the virus, and we have never seen the virus spread,” he said.
Covid-19 is a new disease caused by the virus and is known as a pandemic due to its rapid spread around the world, but the virus can be controlled and eliminated if necessary. This is a fact that we must use as citizens of the world.
Although it can be difficult at times, it is important to see positive developments.
And let me share some of them:
For example, China has closed all Covid-19 temporary hospitals because it is not needed. Also, Indian doctors have successfully treated Covid-19 by combining the drugs Ac: Lopinavir, Retonovir, Oseltamivir with chlorine phenamine. A new academic study, in consultation with Stanford University School of Medicine, found that an over-the-counter anti-malarial pill may be very effective in treating Covid-19. And now, some countries have developed the Covid-19 test kit, which works every minute.
And what do we do to support our patients in Covid-19?
Here at Momeste Clinic, we make every effort to support our patients during the Covid-19 outbreak. We are happy to share some examples:
Our patient host is trying to reschedule patients who are not allowed to travel to other countries by booking a flight and contacting the consulate. We are confident that our patients will return safely to their home countries. We are still waiting for the return of 5 patients to their hometowns who will also be subject to travel fines. We support all their needs during the process.
Many of our patients were treated in March and April. However, due to the outbreak of Covid-19, the Turkish government has suspended flights to several European countries until April 17.
We extend the deposit period for our patients. We are happy to extend the deposit period for our patients, because we are spending a lot of time now.
By supporting each other, we will overcome these difficult circumstances, and there is nothing that can kill us when we unite!
Take care of yourself and your loved ones and stay healthy!
